The American Institute of Architects has awarded Strata a 2026 National Honor Award for the Meridian Civic Library, recognizing the project’s response to a challenging nine-foot grade change across its site.
The jury specifically cited the building’s stepped reading terraces as “a rare case of a structural constraint becoming a building’s primary architectural idea, rather than something designed around.”
This is Strata’s third national-level award since the firm’s founding in 2011.
