Kessington Transit Hub consolidates what were previously five disconnected bus boarding areas and a light-rail platform into a single covered concourse, cutting average transfer times between modes by an estimated 40%.
The facade’s perforated panel system was tuned through wind-tunnel testing to shade the concourse in summer while allowing enough winter sun penetration to keep the space usable without supplemental heating on all but the coldest days.
Kessington received the RIBA International Award in 2022.
